Martha J. Ross-Rodgers
President of Jireh
A former stutterer and teenage mother, Martha J.
Ross-Rodgers is an internationally acclaimed author of two books, Awakenings and
Woman to Woman. Her books are distributed not only in the United States, but in
Africa, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, she is also a motivational
speaker. She has been honored by Girls, Inc. as one of its "Strong, Smart,
and Bold Women" for her commitment to the community and positive image. In
addition, she is the founder of "Toss Away the Could Haves and Should Haves
" Day, celebrated yearly, the third Saturday in July.
She has been married over
30 years to Reginald Rodgers, the Vice-President of Jireh Publishers. They have two daughters, Charizza, an attorney
and Gina, an engineer. She reinforces to all who hear her message : "Don't
let people or statistics determine the final outcome of your life. I
didn't" She has her Master's in Education, Curriculum
Development, and Instruction. Currently, she is working on her doctorate
degree in Educational Leadership with a Specialization in Educational
Technology.
